About
Narpo Glamorgan Branch is the branch for former Merthyr Tydfil Borough, Glamorgan Constabulary and South Wales Police Officers who worked in the former Glamorgan, Merthyr, Rhondda, Cynon, Taff, Caerphilly, Bridgend, Maesteg and Porthcawl areas or retired officers now living in or from the area.
Ever growing, the Branch is made up of members for members to provide advice, support and friendship in a way only former officers who have been there, seen it and done it can.
We are a part of the National Association of Retired Police Officers which represents retired police officers of all ranks, their spouse, partner and police widows, widowers or former partners. NARPO was formed in 1919 and exists to safeguard the rights of members and promote measures for their welfare with particular reference to pensions. NARPO is the only Association which looks after the interests of retired police officers and lobbies on their behalf with Government and other organisations.
The site belongs to all NARPO Glamorgan branch members and as such, any contributions for inclusion, particularly photographs, will be gratefully received.
If there is anything you want in the site that’s not already here let us know and we will see what we can do.
You will need to log in to gain full access to our Members Section of the NARPO website. The password can be obtained via our contacts page but will only be supplied once membership to the branch is ratified.
Members also have access through NARPO HQ website to current information; regarding pensions, injury on duty awards and other relevant changes. Members also have access to a variety of benefits such as discounts on motor insurance, house and contents insurance, travel insurance, investment and legal advice, discounted holidays, etc.
